Forrest Gump (1994)

ஒரு நாளில் நான் 6 படம் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன், but ஒரே நாளில் 5 தடவை பார்த்த படம், இது. i dunno how to explain it??

before Forrest Gump, i saw some of Tom Hanks films like 'Cast Away', 'Saving Private Ryan', 'The Da Vinci Code', 'Apollo 13', 'Catch Me if You Can', 'The Terminal' etc... but in this one, he did a brilliant role as STUPID(here exact meaning is innocent). From begining to end, its moving like {story(பின்ன என்ன வெங்காயமா)} clouds. okay... இப்போ கதைக்கு வருவோம்.

In one line, 'தொட்டதெல்லாம் துலங்கும், ஆனா ஆசைபட்டது கிடைக்காது'....

In detail,

தொடக்கத்தில் ஒரு இறகு கவிதை போல் காற்றில் பறந்து வந்து Gump-ன் காலடியில் விழுகிறது. அதை bus stop-ல் இருக்கும் Gump எடுத்து தனது புத்தகத்தில் வைத்துவிட்டு, கதையை ஆரம்பிக்கிறார். கதை பின்னோக்கி செல்கிறது, IQ குறைந்த தனது மகனுக்கு நல்ல கல்வி கிடைக்க,ஓரிரவு school headmaster உடன் இருகிறாள்(no sentiments). U.S clulture...

முதல் நாள் பள்ளிக்கு செல்லும் வழியில் jenny-ஐ சந்திக்கிறான். அதுமுதல் இருவரும் நண்பர்களாகின்றனர். Gump ஓட ஆரம்பித்தால் ஓடுவான் ஓடுவான் ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருப்பன். So he got a chance in Rugby team(no body cant catch him, No.1). இதற்குள் Gump-க்கு jenny-யின் மேல் காதல். அதை அவள் ஏற்க்க மறுக்கிறாள்(like kaadhal konden). After his college he joined in military and going to vietnam, @ the same time he met Bubba & Lieutenant Dan. During the War Bubba was killed and Dan lost his legs. Gump rescues many of the men and he got a shot in his butt. So he got Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroism.while he was in hospital, he involved playing TT(ping-pong). later playing ping-pong against Chinese teams in china. After this he gained popularity in U.S and he got retire from military. (Inbetween he met 3 U.S president's in different times)

And he comes back to his Home town in Alabama, he meet his lovingly mother. Then he buys a fishing boat as Bubba wish and Lieutenant Dan joins with him(without legs). In a Anti war rally he reunites with jenny. And he earned more money in fishing then he invested all money in Apple Computers. So he is well secured throughout his life. Inbetween again jenny went somewhere and he lost his much lovingly mother.

So he returns back to Alabama. One day, Jenny returns and Gump proposes marriage to her. She declines, though feels obliged to prove her love to him by sleeping with him. She leaves early the next morning. He shocked. He starts Running. He decides to keep running across the country, over some three and a half years, becoming famous. He tired. Then again back to Alabama. He got a mail from jenny.

In present-day, he is waiting for Bus in a bus stop with the letter. Once he is reunites with Jenny, Forrest finds she has a young son, of whom Forrest is the father. And she tells Forrest that she is suffering from a virus fever and cant cure this one. Again Gump asked her to marry him. she agreed. After marriage she died in a early morning.

Hanks: won second time Best Actor Academy Award for Forrest Gump, and he is only the second actor in the history of hollywood, to achieved the feat of winning back-to-back Best Actor Oscars. (Spencer Tracy was the first, 937-38).
